The Atlas Copco Business Services (ACBS) Projects Organization has responsibility for ACBS projects worldwide. These projects can be sponsored by ACBS customers (external) or by ACBS management (internal). ACBS customer projects pursue direct business benefits while ACBS sponsored projects aim at improving the efficiency and capabilities of the ACBS Organization. The Project Manager will be expected to take charge of all projects under his/her responsibility and lead them to a successful completion. Tasks the Project Manager is expected to perform include:- Liaising with customers (external or internal) to understand the objectives associated to a project and to ensure requirements are properly documented- Taking ownership and actively managing all aspects of a project following standard ACBS project management processes and methodologies- Partnering with the different ACBS Service Areas involved (regionally and globally) to ensure the best solution is put forward and appropriate resources are assigned- Communicating status of the projects to customers and ACBS Management on a regular basisThis position will require limited travel (primarily within Europe but occasionally to other regions around the world).
- To take ownership of all projects under his/her responsibility and drive them to completion within the agreed scope, time and budget while making sure projected business benefits can be realized.- To work closely with all parts of the ACBS organization as well as with ACBS’ l Customers/Business Partners to secure project risks are identified, communicated and mitigated throughout the life of the project- To contribute, in cooperation with other members of the ACBS Projects Organization, to the continuous improvement of standard project management processes and tools used in ACBS
- Experience at managing projects of diverse size and complexity using formal Project Management methodologies.- Development and participation on cross functional and regional/global project teams.- Proven ability to translate business requirements into products, projects and programs- Experience with Project Management Tools is a plus- Advanced user of MS Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project…)
- Well rounded knowledge in IT (Enterprise Applications as well as Infrastructure and Operations)- Broad knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Finance, Purchasing or HR.- University degree or equivalent professional experience. - Formal Training in Project management. PMP or equivalent Project Management credentials are a plus.- Fluent in English. More languages are a plus.- Advanced user of MS Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project…).
